The Top500 website features a "Performance Development" chart that runs back 20 years. And although the chart lines look straight, there are some significant points that are not immediately clear. David Bolton redid the chart as a linear Y axis using the data points for the years 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010 and 2014 so that instead of a straight logarithmic line, it shows the true nature of the increase.
